Terms of Use
The agreement between you and Safari Suite when you browse the marketplace, plan a trip, contact an operator, or book a safari through this platform.
Last updated: 8 September 2026 (optional Google feature added; existing terms unchanged)
1. Who we are
Safari Suite ("we", "us", the "Platform") operates the safari marketplace at safarisuite.africa and the operator software suite available to registered safari businesses. By using either, you agree to these Terms of Use. If you are using the Platform on behalf of a safari business, the Operator Agreement also applies to you.
2. What the platform is (and isn't)
Safari Suite is a marketplace that connects travelers with independent, verified African safari operators, and gives those operators software to plan, cost, and present their trips. The prices you see are computed from operators' own rate sheets.
The safari itself is provided by the operator, not by us. When you book, your travel contract is with the operator named on the itinerary. We are not a tour operator, travel agent, or insurer, and we do not guide, transport, or accommodate travelers ourselves. Each operator is responsible for the accuracy of its listings, the conduct of its trips, and its compliance with local licensing, park authority, and safety requirements.
3. Your account
You can browse without an account. To save favorites, join a trip room, upload documents, or leave a verified review, you need a traveler account. You agree to:
- provide accurate information and keep it current;
- keep your password confidential — activity under your account is your responsibility;
- be at least 18 years old to hold an account or make a booking.
You can delete your account at any time from your account settings or by emailing us. Records connected to live bookings, payments, or open disputes are retained as described in the Privacy Policy.
4. Inquiries, quotes & bookings
Sending an inquiry or plan request is free and does not commit you to anything. A booking exists only when an operator confirms it and any agreed deposit is received. The operator's own booking conditions — deposits, balance dates, cancellation and refund terms, park fee pass-throughs — are shown on the proposal or quote and form part of your contract with that operator. Read them before paying.
Safari travel is subject to real-world conditions: park authorities change fees, weather closes roads, wildlife does not follow schedules. Reasonable itinerary substitutions of equivalent standard (for example, a comparable lodge when one is full) are standard practice and are governed by the operator's terms.
5. Prices & payments
Prices are shown in the currency stated on the listing and are computed from operator rate sheets, including seasonal rates and published park fees where applicable. Unless a listing says otherwise, prices exclude international flights, visas, and travel insurance. We strongly recommend comprehensive travel insurance, including medical evacuation cover, for any safari.
Where payments are processed through the Platform, we pass them to the operator net of any platform fees, and both sides receive a record. Where you pay an operator directly (bank transfer, mobile money), the payment instructions on an official Safari Suite proposal or invoice are the only instructions you should trust — if anyone asks you to pay to different details, stop and contact us.
6. Reviews & content you post
Reviews are moderated before publication. A "verified" badge means our records link the reviewer to a paid or completed booking with that operator. You agree that anything you post is your honest, first-hand experience, does not defame anyone, and does not contain other people's personal data. Operators may respond publicly to reviews, but cannot edit or remove them; only platform moderation can.
You keep ownership of content you post, and grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide license to display it on the Platform and in Platform marketing (for example, an excerpt of your review on an operator's profile).
7. Trip rooms & documents
Trip rooms are private, invitation-only spaces for a traveling group. Documents you upload to the vault are stored outside the public web root, access-controlled to the room, and checksummed. Choose the visibility level ("only me", "everyone in this room", "share with operator") deliberately — you are responsible for what you share with whom. Do not upload documents belonging to someone who has not agreed to be part of your trip room.
8. Acceptable use
You may not: scrape or bulk-download the Platform; misrepresent who you are; post fake reviews or manipulate ratings; use the Platform to send spam; attempt to bypass rate limits, moderation, or access controls; or use it for anything unlawful. We may suspend accounts that do.
8.1 Optional Google Maps features
Destination photos is an optional operator workspace using Google Maps Platform. Before requesting Google content, you must choose to accept the Google Terms of Service and the Google Maps End User Additional Terms of Service, incorporated here for this feature. Google's handling of information is described in the Google Privacy Policy and our Google feature privacy notice.
These additional conditions apply only when you opt in to this new feature, not to existing bookings or your use of the rest of the suite. You can keep using your licensed content library without Google lookup. Google content is displayed live with its source and contributor credits; it is not a license to copy photographs into marketing material, proposals or PDFs. Do not bulk-download it or remove attribution.
9. Liability
We work hard to keep listings, prices, and availability accurate, but the Platform is provided "as is". To the fullest extent permitted by law: we are not liable for the acts or omissions of operators or other users; our total liability to you for any claim connected to the Platform is limited to the platform fees you paid us in the twelve months before the claim; and nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including for fraud.
Nothing here limits your rights against an operator under your travel contract or under consumer law that applies to you.
10. Changes & termination
We may update these terms as the Platform evolves. Material changes will be announced on the Platform with a revised "last updated" date at least 14 days before taking effect; continuing to use the Platform after that date means you accept them. We may suspend or close the Platform, or your access to it, for breach of these terms or where required legally — confirmed bookings survive per the operator's terms.
11. Governing law & contact
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Kenya, and disputes are subject to the courts of Kenya, without limiting any mandatory consumer protections of the country you live in. Questions, notices, and complaints: hello@safarisuite.africa.
